Community-maintained visual roadmaps that lay out what to learn, and in what order, for developer roles and technologies.
roadmap.sh publishes interactive step-by-step roadmaps for roles (frontend, backend, DevOps, AI engineer, data analyst, and more) and for individual technologies (React, Python, Kubernetes, SQL). Each node links to curated free and paid resources, and you can track your progress. It also collects project ideas, best-practice guides, and interview-question sets.
Why it's a discovery: it's one of the most-starred repositories on GitHub for a reason — it answers "what do I actually need to learn next?" better than a scattered blog search. The roadmaps are free and open source; there are optional paid AI tutoring add-ons.
Best for: self-taught developers, people switching specialisms, and mentors pointing someone at a learning path.
